The Philippine Embassy in Singapore announces the acceptance of digital/electronic Apostille (e-Apostille) certificates for PSA-issued birth, marriage, and CENOMAR e-certificates, simplifying consular service requirements for Filipinos in Singapore.
The Philippine Embassy in Singapore has announced that it now accepts digital/electronic Apostille (e-Apostille) certificates for Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)-issued birth, marriage, and CENOMAR e-certificates. This new process simplifies consular service requirements for a range of services, including solemnization of marriages between two Filipino nationals, reports of marriage, requests for Certification of No Impediment to Marry, and updating of marital status and name for passport applications.
The e-Apostille system was launched by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on 19 March 2024, enabling applicants to request the Apostillization of their documents online. This eliminates the need for personal visits to DFA or PSA offices, as applicants will receive their e-Apostilles and e-Certificates directly through their registered email addresses. Physical copies of certificates are no longer provided under this system.
The procedure for applying for e-Apostilles of PSA e-certificates is as follows:
- Visit the official DFA Apostille website: https://www.apostille.gov.ph/.
- Select “e-Apostille for PSA Documents”.
- Once at the PSA Helpline website, click on “Order E-Cert” and proceed with the ordering process.
- Provide all the necessary information and take note of your Reference Number.
- Complete payment through the available payment channels.
- Wait for the notification confirming the receipt of your E-Cert by the DFA and the subsequent issuance of your e-Apostille.
- Print out the e-Apostille PSA certificate for submission.
The Philippine Embassy in Singapore will continue to accept original Apostilled PSA certificates.
