KBRI SINGAPURA WELCOMED A DELEGATION FROM KADIN KOTA DUMAI LED BY ZULFAN ISMAIL ON MAY 3RD TO EXPLORE MARKETING PROSPECTS FOR LOCAL SME PRODUCTS AND ATTRACT SINGAPOREAN INVESTMENTS FOR THE ENHANCEMENT OF TARO EXPORTS.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore (KBRI Singapura) played host to a delegation from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) of Kota Dumai on May 3rd. Led by Zulfan Ismaini, the delegation engaged in discussions concerning the marketing potential for Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) products from Kota Dumai. The meeting also focused on exploring avenues to attract investments from Singapore to boost the export of taro, which serves as the primary agricultural product of Kota Dumai.
KBRI Singapura expressed its appreciation for the proactive initiative undertaken by KADIN Kota Dumai and assured its full support towards promoting the products and economic interests of Kota Dumai. The embassy reiterated its commitment to facilitating trade relations between Singapore and Kota Dumai, emphasizing the significance of such collaborations in fostering economic growth and development in both regions.
During the discussions, potential marketing strategies for UMKM products, including cooking spices and snacks made from moringa leaves, were explored. Additionally, avenues for collaboration to enhance the quality and competitiveness of taro exports were deliberated upon. Both parties recognized the importance of leveraging Singapore’s strategic position as a regional economic hub to expand market access for Kota Dumai’s agricultural products.
The meeting concluded with mutual agreement on the need for continued dialogue and cooperation between KBRI Singapura and KADIN Kota Dumai. Both entities pledged to work closely together to explore further opportunities for economic collaboration, with a focus on promoting trade, investment, and sustainable development initiatives.
