Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh leads discussions on past achievements and future initiatives to promote Thai culture and tourism in Singapore.

SINGAPORE, 11 June 2024 – H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, chaired the 2nd Team Thailand Meeting 2024. The meeting aimed to exchange information and promote synergy among Thai agencies operating in Singapore.

During the meeting, Ambassador Chareontoh shared updates on significant missions and events over the past three months. These included courtesy calls to the President and Ministers of Singapore, participation in the Shangri-La Dialogue, celebrations for the Songkran Festival and Thai Labor Day, and the launch of the Thai movie “How to Earn Millions Before Grandma Dies” (“Lan Ma”).

The meeting also focused on upcoming activities. Key events include a series of celebrations for His Majesty the King’s 72nd Birthday Anniversary, visits by high-level Thai representatives to Singapore, and familiarization trips to promote sustainable tourism and new routes in Northeastern Thailand. These initiatives aim to attract more tourists to Thailand.

Additionally, the Embassy plans to organize the Thai Market Festival and Muay Thai Festival in Singapore to showcase Thailand’s cultural influence. A Buddhist sermon will also be held in the coming weeks to promote mental health among the Thai community in Singapore.
