A group of 49 officials from Thailand visited Singapore for an advanced training programme focused on strengthening bilateral relations and understanding Singapore’s policies.
On June 6, 2024, the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore hosted a delegation of 49 officials participating in the Advanced Training Programme for Assistant Inspector General 2024. The study visit, which took place from June 5 to 7, 2024, aimed to enhance the officials’ knowledge and foster closer ties between Thailand and Singapore.
Her Excellency Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the close and multi-faceted relations between the two countries. She emphasized the importance of such exchanges in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the event, Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission, provided a comprehensive briefing on Singapore’s political, economic, and social policies and priorities. Her presentation offered valuable insights into the city-state’s governance and development strategies.
Additionally, Mr. Wutthisak Pathomsart, Minister Counsellor (Labour), discussed the labour situation in Singapore and explored opportunities for Thai workers in the region. His overview underscored the significance of labour relations in enhancing economic collaboration between Thailand and Singapore.
The visit concluded with a deeper understanding of the strategic partnership between the two nations and paved the way for future cooperation in various sectors.
