The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore celebrated the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia with a grand diplomatic reception at the Shangri-La Hotel on August 22, 2024.
SINGAPORE, 22 August 2024 – The Indonesian Embassy in Singapore held a Diplomatic Reception at the Shangri-La Hotel to commemorate the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia. The event was attended by approximately 700 guests, including members of parliament, ASEAN and allied country ambassadors, the diplomatic corps, Singapore Armed Forces representatives, businessmen, and members of the Indonesian community in Singapore.
The reception was hosted by Ambassador Suryo Pratomo and Mrs. Noeriwidowati, alongside Deputy Ambassador Djati Ismojo and Mrs. Irawati Djati. The guest of honor, Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, was welcomed with special performances by Balawan and Wasendari, which captivated the audience.
In his address, Ambassador Pratomo highlighted Indonesia’s achievements and the robust cooperation and friendship between Indonesia and Singapore.
