B. Battushig, President of Mongolia’s National Olympic Committee, met with H.E. Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and Environment, to explore future collaborations in the Olympic and sports arenas.

SINGAPORE, 21 OCTOBER 2024 – B. Battushig, a Member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Mongolia, held a meeting with H.E. Grace Fu, President of the National Olympic Committee of Singapore and Minister for Sustainability and the Environment. The meeting took place where both leaders discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two nations in the fields of sports and Olympic development.

The dialogue focused on strengthening ties between the National Olympic Committees of Mongolia and Singapore. The exchange of knowledge and strategies to support athletes, promote youth engagement in sports, and improve sporting infrastructure were key topics. Both parties expressed their commitment to fostering deeper collaboration to drive the success of their respective countries in international sports competitions, including the Olympic Games.

In addition to discussing current developments, Battushig and Fu explored new avenues for cooperation, such as joint training programs, the exchange of expertise in sports management, and initiatives that focus on sustainability in sports. As Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, H.E. Grace Fu highlighted Singapore’s emphasis on environmentally friendly practices within sports events and infrastructure development, a theme that resonated with the growing importance of sustainability within global sporting activities.
