SINGAPORE – The Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) announced its role as a supporting organisation for several pivotal events during Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) 2025, scheduled from 24 to 28 March. These events aim to foster dialogue and collaboration within the maritime industry.

1. TradeWinds Shipowners Forum

Date: 26 March 2025
Venue: PARKROYAL COLLECTION Pickering, Singapore

This year’s forum, themed “Future Proofing Shipping: Building Resilience in a Fracturing World,” will address critical topics such as the impact of protectionist policies, geopolitical conflicts on trade flows, decarbonisation strategies, and Singapore’s strategic role in global shipping. 2. Singapore Maritime Research Conference (SMRC) 2025

3. Marine Insurance Asia 2025

This conference brings together brokers, insurers, third parties, and shipowners to discuss various aspects of marine insurance. Notable speakers include Lars Lange from the International Union of Marine Insurance (IUMI) and Bozidar Ljubisavljevic from Howden Insurance Brokers.
