Held in Singapore, the conference brought together regional leaders and emerging voices to chart ASEAN’s path forward in a multipolar world.
SINGAPORE – The ASEAN Conference, jointly organised by the Singapore Business Federation (SBF) in partnership with UOB, Rajah & Tann Singapore, and RSM Singapore, concluded successfully at the Resorts World Convention Centre. The two-day event, held from 2 to 3 July, coincided with the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Blueprint 2025 milestone and offered a timely platform for reaffirming ASEAN’s unity and economic resilience amidst a rapidly evolving global landscape.
Centred on the theme ‘ASEAN Integration in a Multipolar World’, the conference featured a high-level Ministerial Dialogue with Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Mr Gan Kim Yong, Malaysia’s Deputy Minister for Investment, Trade and Industry Mr Liew Chin Tong, and Indonesia’s Deputy Minister for Investment Cooperation Prof. Tirta Nugraha Mursitama. The leaders stressed the importance of deeper collaboration, regional cohesion, and inclusive growth in response to emerging geopolitical and macroeconomic challenges.
Ahead of the main event, the inaugural ASEANext Forum brought together over 120 young leaders from 16 countries, fostering dialogue on trade, innovation, and the future of ASEAN leadership. The forum was followed by the ASEAN Night networking dinner, which welcomed senior officials, business leaders, and diplomats, and featured a keynote fireside chat by Tan Sri Nazir Razak, Chair of ASEAN-Business Advisory Council 2025.
Throughout the conference, business and policy leaders examined ASEAN’s role in global trade, carbon transition, and digital transformation. Regional tracks on Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam provided market-specific insights, while a fireside chat with Mr Panote Sirivadhanabhakdi, Group CEO of Frasers Property Limited, offered perspectives on the future of investment in Southeast Asia. Over 600 delegates from nearly 20 countries took part in the discussions, reaffirming the conference’s role as a premier forum for ASEAN collaboration.
