Discussions focused on food and energy security, and Thailand’s sustainable development under the BCG Economy Model.
SINGAPORE — Her Excellency Mrs Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, welcomed a visiting delegation from Thailand’s National Innovation Agency (NIA) on 25 July 2025. The delegation, led by Dr Sura-at Supachatturat, Deputy Executive Director of Innovation Finance, was accompanied by Thai startup entrepreneurs taking part in the Global Investment Link programme.
During the meeting, both sides discussed key industrial trends relevant to Singapore and the region, including food security, energy security, and Thailand’s sustainable development pathway through the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model.
Ambassador Ureerat also emphasised the expanding role of Thai innovation in the global market and provided policy recommendations to support the competitiveness of Thai entrepreneurs abroad.
