The Gardens by the Bay unveils “Sunflower Surprise,” inspired by Jaipur’s architectural heritage and India’s One District One Product initiative.

SINGAPORE, 22 October 2025 — Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Finance and National Development, Ms. Indranee Rajah, joined H.E. Dr. Shilpak Ambule, High Commissioner of India to Singapore, and Mr. Felix Loh, Chief Executive Officer of Gardens by the Bay, to officially launch the Rajasthan-themed floral display titled “Sunflower Surprise.”

The exhibition, located at the Flower Dome in Gardens by the Bay, celebrates the architectural grandeur of Jaipur — the renowned “Pink City” of India — beautifully intertwined with the vibrant charm of sunflowers. The display highlights elements of Rajasthani design and craftsmanship, offering visitors a glimpse into India’s rich cultural heritage through floral artistry and intricate installations.

Adding a unique dimension to the exhibition, select products from India are being showcased under the One District One Product (ODOP) initiative. This initiative promotes distinctive goods and crafts from various Indian states, emphasising the diversity and creativity that define India’s regional economies.

Open to the public until 16 November 2025, Sunflower Surprise marks a key event in the year-long celebration of 60 years of diplomatic relations between India and Singapore. The collaboration underscores the deepening people-to-people ties and shared appreciation for culture, art, and sustainability between both nations.
