
Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa to strengthen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in trade, investment, and sustainable development.
SINGAPORE, 26 October 2025 – Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met His Excellency President Cyril Ramaphosa of the Republic of South Africa during a bilateral meeting to reinforce the strong and growing partnership between Singapore and South Africa. The meeting reflected both countries’ shared commitment to advancing cooperation across multiple sectors and enhancing people-to-people ties.
During the discussion, Prime Minister Wong and President Ramaphosa reaffirmed their commitment to expanding trade and investment flows between the two nations. They explored new opportunities in skills development, information and communications technology (ICT), and renewable energy, as well as ways to support South African agricultural exports and facilitate broader market access.

Both leaders highlighted the importance of strengthening collaboration in sustainable growth, innovation, and digital transformation to create shared economic opportunities.
