
The Official Visit of Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul to Singapore reaffirmed the close and forward-looking partnership between both nations, highlighting cooperation in food security, healthcare, and sustainable development.
Singapore, 7 November 2025 — Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Thailand, H.E. Anutin Charnvirakul, undertook an Official Visit to Singapore to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new areas of collaboration. His visit marks an important milestone as Singapore and Thailand celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations this year.
Prime Minister Anutin was accorded a ceremonial welcome before holding a delegation meeting with Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong, who also hosted an Official Lunch in his honour. Both Leaders reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between Singapore and Thailand and commended the significant progress made in emerging areas such as carbon credits and food security. They also discussed shared challenges, including ageing populations and the need to combat online scams, and agreed to deepen cooperation in the digital and green economies to build a more sustainable and interconnected ASEAN. The two Prime Ministers witnessed the exchange of two agreements covering food security and healthcare cooperation.

Prime Minister Anutin also called on President Tharman Shanmugaratnam, where both leaders emphasised the strength of the multi-faceted partnership between Singapore and Thailand, founded on mutual trust and robust people-to-people ties. They noted the complementarity of both economies and the potential to collaborate further in sustainability, energy, and technology, while underlining the importance of regional cooperation in an increasingly complex global environment.
As part of his visit, Prime Minister Anutin toured the National Orchid Garden, where a new orchid hybrid, Vanchoanthe Anutin Thananon Charnvirakul, was named in his honour, symbolising the enduring friendship between Singapore and Thailand.
