
The 43rd ASEANAPOL Conference in Bangkok strengthened regional law enforcement cooperation under the theme “Collaboration in Action – Crushing Scams, Disrupting Fraud and Protecting People.”
Bangkok, 7 November 2025 — Chiefs of Police and senior representatives from ASEAN Member States, together with ASEANAPOL’s Dialogue Partners and Observers, convened in Bangkok, Thailand, for the 43rd ASEANAPOL Conference held from 3 to 7 November 2025. The annual event served as a vital platform for regional law enforcement agencies to enhance coordination and address shared security challenges.
Held under the theme “Collaboration in Action – Crushing Scams, Disrupting Fraud and Protecting People,” the conference underscored the importance of joint efforts in tackling the surge of cyber scams, online fraud, and other transnational crimes affecting the ASEAN region. Participants discussed operational strategies, exchanged best practices, and explored new frameworks to improve cross-border cooperation in law enforcement.

The meeting reaffirmed ASEANAPOL’s collective commitment to strengthening collaboration among ASEAN police forces and with external partners. Delegates agreed that stronger intelligence-sharing mechanisms, technological innovation, and capacity-building efforts are essential to protect communities and uphold regional stability.
Representing the ASEAN Secretariat, H.E. Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Political-Security Community, led the delegation and emphasised ASEAN’s continued support for ASEANAPOL’s mission in advancing a safer and more resilient ASEAN Community.
