General Kevin Schneider, Commander of the United States Pacific Air Forces (PACAF), made an introductory visit to Singapore from 18 to 20 November 2025. He called on Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing at the Ministry of Defence on 19 November, where both sides reaffirmed the excellent and long-standing defence relations between Singapore and the United States.

During the meeting, Mr Chan and General Schneider discussed ongoing efforts to deepen cooperation, particularly between the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and PACAF. They expressed confidence that expanded engagements and enhanced interoperability would continue to bolster stability and shared security interests in the region.

As part of his visit, General Schneider also called on Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng and Chief of Air Force Major-General Kelvin Fan. Prior to the meetings, he inspected a Guard of Honour at the Ministry of Defence. The programme further included visits to Sembawang Air Base and Paya Lebar Air Base, where he met operational and command personnel.

General Schneider’s visit underscored the depth of the Singapore–US defence partnership, which is supported by regular high-level exchanges, professional interactions, and joint training. Both air forces work closely through exercises such as the bilateral Exercise Commando Sling, the trilateral Exercise Cope Tiger, and the multilateral Red Flag series in the United States.

These engagements have strengthened cooperation, enhanced operational proficiency and interoperability, and fostered strong camaraderie between personnel from both air forces. The visit highlighted the shared commitment of Singapore and the United States to maintaining a stable and secure regional environment.
