
A series of diplomatic, economic, and cultural engagements highlighted Saudi Arabia’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Singapore and regional partners
From 15 to 19 January 2026, His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi undertook a series of official engagements in Singapore, covering diplomatic, economic, and cultural initiatives.
As part of these engagements, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Singapore hosted a reception in honour of His Excellency Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi on the occasion of his assumption of official duties. The event was attended by Arab ambassadors accredited to Singapore, as well as representatives of Saudi companies operating in the city-state.
The Ambassador also met with the Saudi–Singapore Cooperation Entity (SCE) team at the chancery, where discussions focused on advancing collaboration in smart cities, digital transformation, GovTech, and sustainable infrastructure. These discussions were aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 and reflected the strong and evolving partnership between Saudi Arabia and Singapore.

In the cultural sphere, Ambassador Al-Ghamdi participated in an award ceremony organised by the International Zheng He Society in Singapore, during which awards were presented by a Nobel Laureate. The event underscored the depth of Asian–Arab cultural dialogue and contributed to strengthening mutual understanding between peoples. Appreciation was extended to Dr. Zhang Lu for the excellent organisation of the event and for the presentation of the book The Mirror.
Ambassador Al-Ghamdi also met with Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Zahrani, Military Attaché accredited to Indonesia and Singapore, where discussions centred on enhancing coordination and integration between the Embassy and the Defence Attaché’s Office in support of Saudi Arabia’s national interests and regional engagement.
