The Chief of Defence of the Republic of Lithuania, General (GEN) Raimundas Vaikšnoras, made a working visit to Singapore from 31 January to 4 February 2026.
During his visit, GEN Vaikšnoras called on Singapore’s Minister for Defence, Mr Chan Chun Sing, at the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF). One key area highlighted was the construction of the Republic of Singapore Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessels in Lithuania.

Earlier the same day, GEN Vaikšnoras also met Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng at MINDEF. These meetings underscored the commitment of both countries to deepen defence engagement and dialogue.
As part of his programme, GEN Vaikšnoras witnessed the launch of Exercise SG Ready, a Total Defence exercise running from 1 February to Total Defence Day on 15 February 2026. He also took part in the Distinguished Leaders Dialogue at the Goh Keng Swee Command and Staff College, where he shared insights with MINDEF and SAF officials on evolving security challenges in the European region.
