The ceremony was officiated by Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Chargé d’Affaires a.i., and attended by Daniel Loo, President of Porsche Club Singapore, and Yatika Kaewborisoot, Director of TAT Singapore. Members of the Club and representatives from Team Thailand in Singapore were also present.

The caravan will comprise 21 vehicles and 36 participants undertaking a 14-night journey from 12 to 25 April 2026, travelling across Thailand from north to south. The programme is designed to showcase diverse destinations, cultural experiences, and local communities.

In her remarks, Mrs. Chonlatee highlighted Thailand’s varied landscapes and cultural offerings, noting the country’s continued efforts to promote tourism experiences beyond traditional travel formats. The initiative emphasises immersive travel that integrates local culture, community engagement, and unique regional experiences.

The programme also aligns with broader efforts to position Thailand as a destination for premium tourism, particularly during key periods such as the Songkran season.

The flag-off event underscored collaboration between public and private stakeholders in promoting tourism and strengthening people-to-people connections between Singapore and Thailand.
