
A vibrant line-up of cross-cultural programmes brings French creativity to Singapore from April to June
The vOilah! France Singapore Festival 2026 returns from 25 April to 20 June 2026 with an exciting programme of arts, music, film, science and gastronomy, celebrating the cultural ties between France and Singapore.

Organised by the Embassy of France in Singapore and presented in collaboration with 21 partners, this year’s edition features 26 programmes across the island. The festival reflects the growing partnership between the two countries following the establishment of their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2025.
Stephen Marchisio, Ambassador of France to Singapore, highlighted the festival’s role as a cultural bridge connecting communities, artists and institutions through creativity and collaboration.

Among the highlights is One Ocean: Every Action Ripples, an immersive exhibition developed by Science Centre Singapore and Tara Ocean Foundation. Making its worldwide debut in Singapore, the exhibition uses virtual reality, immersive projections and soundscapes to explore ocean ecosystems and the impact of human activity on the marine environment.


Festivalgoers can experience acclaimed French performances such as ‘Planet [wanderer]’ (left), a visually striking
performance by Damien Jalet and Kohei Nawa and ‘LACRIMA’ (right), a Parisian theatre production that unveils the hidden world of haute couture
The performing arts also take centre stage with productions such as LACRIMA, directed by French theatre director Caroline Guiela Nguyen, staged at the Singtel Waterfront Theatre as part of the Singapore International Festival of Arts. Dance audiences can look forward to Danses de Rêve, a world premiere by Singapore Ballet featuring works by French choreographers Étienne Ferrère and Claire Voss.

Music lovers will enjoy performances by renowned ensembles including Quatuor Modigliani and Quatuor Elmire at the Esplanade Recital Studio, presenting chamber works by composers such as Ludwig van Beethoven and Claude Debussy. The festival will also feature Corsican polyphonic singing by the ensemble Spartimu during the Tapestry Music Festival.
In addition, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra will present the Hans Graf Farewell Series: Mystère de l’Instant, marking the final performances of its chief conductor Hans Graf after seven years with the orchestra.
French cinema will also feature prominently with screenings at the European Union Film Festival, including Love Me Tender by Anna Cazenave Cambet, as well as family-friendly outdoor screenings at Sentosa.
Through its diverse programmes, vOilah! 2026 continues to strengthen artistic exchange and cultural dialogue, bringing audiences in Singapore closer to the creativity and spirit of France.
