In celebration of Singapore’s National Day, Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis (LTB) 2026 will transform the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB) precinct into a captivating night-time destination from 1 August to 5 September 2026. Organised by HeritageSG in conjunction with the Singapore Night Festival, the month-long event invites visitors to discover the district through spectacular light installations, digital experiences and immersive storytelling inspired by Singapore’s rich cultural heritage.

Running every Friday and Saturday from 7.30pm to midnight, and Sunday to Thursday from 7.30pm to 11pm, Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis 2026 reimagines some of the precinct’s most iconic landmarks and hidden spaces as experiential zones. Designed to inspire imagination and foster community connections, the event offers a fresh way for residents and visitors alike to commemorate the nation’s birthday while exploring one of Singapore’s most historic arts and heritage districts.

A highlight of this year’s edition is its celebration of local folklore, brought to life through creative light and digital installations across five locations within Bras Basah.Bugis. Festival-goers can experience these captivating works at Artsplace @ Waterloo Centre, Reflection Pool @ Bras Basah MRT Station, Stamford Place, and Stamford Walkway, while the National Museum of Singapore will present a projection mapping display on its facade from 1 to 12 August 2026. Together, these experiences reinterpret familiar local stories, encouraging audiences to view Singapore’s cultural narratives from a fresh perspective.

Among the featured works is Better plant chilli so it won’t rain!, an installation by Arup inspired by a well-known local belief, demonstrating how folklore can be reimagined through contemporary art and technology. Together with the projection mapping on the National Museum of Singapore and other site-specific experiences across the precinct, the programme blends creativity, innovation and heritage, offering memorable experiences for families, friends and festival enthusiasts throughout the celebration.

Whether exploring the district after sunset, capturing stunning illuminated displays or immersing themselves in Singapore’s folklore, visitors can look forward to an engaging cultural journey during Light Together Bras Basah.Bugis 2026. As part of the wider Singapore Night Festival celebrations, the event showcases the enduring vibrancy of the Bras Basah.Bugis precinct while bringing communities together to celebrate Singapore’s National Day in an inspiring and memorable way.
