The Embassy of Egypt recognised IN Diplomacy’s editorial contribution to commemorating 60 years of diplomatic relations with Singapore.
Ms Nomita Dhar, IN Diplomacy Editor-in-Chief, met with His Excellency Ahmed Mostafa, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Singapore, on 18 August 2026. The meeting followed the publication of a special edition of IN Diplomacy commemorating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Singapore.
The Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Singapore subsequently conveyed its appreciation to IN Diplomacy, Ms Nomita Dhar and her team for their work on the special edition, which marked the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Singapore in 1966.
In its letter, the Embassy commended the publication’s “quality, professionalism, and editorial excellence” and noted that the special edition highlighted the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Egypt and Singapore. The Embassy said the publication provided a comprehensive reflection of the multifaceted bilateral relationship and the ties between the two countries’ peoples.
The Embassy also described the special edition as one of the distinguished activities marking the 60th anniversary milestone. It noted that the publication had begun to be disseminated in both Singapore and Egypt, contributing to greater awareness of the bilateral relationship.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the ongoing cooperation between the Embassy and Sun Media. The Embassy expressed its appreciation for the partnership and its intention to continue strengthening cooperation in the future.
Sun Media and IN Diplomacy will continue to engage with the Embassy of Egypt on opportunities for future diplomatic coverage and initiatives highlighting the development of Egypt-Singapore relations.
