
Ambassador Mohammad Alghamdi discussed Saudi-Singapore economic, academic and research cooperation during engagements with Aramco and NUS
Saudi Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Mohammad Alghamdi, visited Saudi Aramco’s Singapore office and met with H.E. Prof. Tan Eng Chye, President of the National University of Singapore (NUS), as part of engagements to strengthen cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Singapore. The discussions covered economic ties, academic and research cooperation, and opportunities to support Saudi students and institutions in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.

During his visit to Saudi Aramco’s office in Singapore, Ambassador Alghamdi was briefed on the company’s activities and its operations in Singapore. The briefing also covered Aramco’s role in supporting economic relations between Saudi Arabia and Singapore, while the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and areas of potential cooperation.

Ambassador Alghamdi subsequently met with H.E. Prof. Tan Eng Chye, President of NUS, where they discussed opportunities to enhance academic and research cooperation between the university and Saudi institutions. The meeting also addressed opportunities to support Saudi students pursuing education and research in Singapore.
The discussions with NUS were aligned with the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly efforts to develop knowledge, education, research and human capital. Cooperation between Saudi and Singaporean academic institutions provides a platform for exchanges in education and research and for further developing institutional links.
