
Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming visited the Bank of China Singapore Branch to learn about its recent business development and explore opportunities to further strengthen financial cooperation between China and Singapore.
Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming recently visited the Bank of China (BOC) Singapore Branch, where he toured the Bank’s Asian Debt Capital Market Centre and Financial Markets Department to gain insights into its business development in recent years.
During the visit, Ambassador Cao was briefed on the Bank’s operations and development, with a focus on its role in Singapore’s financial sector and its contribution to strengthening economic and financial links between China and Singapore.

The BOC Singapore Branch has a long-standing presence in the city-state, with 90 years of history and experience. Ambassador Cao highlighted the Branch’s deep heritage and fine traditions, expressing hope that it would continue to build on its longstanding foundation while pursuing further achievements.
The visit underscored the importance of financial cooperation in supporting broader bilateral relations between China and Singapore. As a major financial centre in Asia, Singapore continues to serve as an important platform for facilitating investment, capital flows and business connectivity between the two countries.

Ambassador Cao expressed his hope that the BOC Singapore Branch would continue to leverage its experience and capabilities to contribute to the further development of China-Singapore financial cooperation and achieve new milestones in the years ahead.
