
The 16th Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council meeting highlighted growing cooperation between Singapore and Guangdong in digital economy, artificial intelligence and biomedicine. The 22 newly unveiled projects underscore the two sides’ commitment to innovation-driven growth and mutually beneficial partnership.
Singapore and Guangdong have reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation in emerging industries, with 22 key collaboration projects unveiled during the 16th Singapore-Guangdong Collaboration Council (SGCC) meeting. The projects span sectors including the digital economy, artificial intelligence (AI) and biomedicine, reflecting the growing depth and breadth of economic and technological cooperation between the two sides.

Chinese Ambassador to Singapore Cao Zhongming attended the meeting and witnessed the unveiling alongside Mr Meng Fanli, Governor of Guangdong Province; Mr Ong Ye Kung, Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Minister for Health; and Mr Alvin Tan, Minister of State for National Development and Foreign Affairs.
The newly announced projects represent tangible outcomes of closer sci-tech collaboration and industrial synergy between Guangdong and Singapore. By bringing together capabilities and expertise in emerging technologies and industries, the initiatives are expected to create new opportunities for innovation, business collaboration and sustainable economic development.

The SGCC serves as an important platform for strengthening cooperation between Singapore and Guangdong, facilitating exchanges across areas including trade, investment, technology and industry. The latest projects demonstrate the potential for both sides to leverage their respective strengths and develop new areas of collaboration amid rapid technological and economic transformation.
Ambassador Cao expressed hope that Guangdong and Singapore will continue to deepen engagement in emerging industries, pursue innovation-driven development and strengthen practical cooperation. Through closer collaboration, both sides can contribute to a new chapter of mutually beneficial cooperation and continued partnership between China and Singapore.
