Saudi Arabia’s Hawi national hobbies portal expands its network of members, clubs and activities under the Quality of Life Program
Saudi Arabia’s National Portal for Hobbies, Hawi, an initiative of the Quality of Life Program, has recorded continued growth across the Kingdom, reaching 111,167 members, 3,533 hobby clubs and 4,123 events covering 233 different hobbies. The expansion reflects the development of organised hobby communities and supports the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Hawi provides a platform for individuals to establish and join hobby clubs, organise activities and events, access suitable spaces and facilities, and connect with others who share similar interests. The platform forms part of efforts to develop the Kingdom’s hobbies sector and broaden opportunities for community participation and quality-of-life activities.
According to Quality of Life Program Center CEO Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Bakr, the significance of Hawi extends beyond the increase in membership and the number of clubs. He said the development of hobby communities was helping transform individual interests into shared communities where members can connect, learn, participate and develop initiatives around common interests.
Hawi also works with governmental, private and non-profit organisations to establish partnerships and strengthen community participation. These efforts are intended to support the development of a more structured hobbies ecosystem and provide individuals with greater opportunities to participate in activities aligned with their interests.
In its next phase, Hawi plans to expand its network of clubs and hobbies across cities and governorates in Saudi Arabia, while improving the sustainability and quality of club activities. The initiative will also seek to provide more diverse experiences for members as part of broader efforts to foster active and engaged communities under the Quality of Life Program and Saudi Vision 2030.
