Kuwait was represented at the opening of the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes’ (ICSID) regional office in Singapore, which will serve Asia and the Pacific.
Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in Singapore Mr. Mohammed Saud Al-Wuqayan attended the opening ceremony of the ICSID regional office on 26 August 2026.
Singapore’s Minister for Law Mr. Edwin Tong attended as Guest of Honour, alongside ambassadors accredited to Singapore, officials and specialists in dispute resolution and international investment.
The new office is ICSID’s first to have permanent staff outside its headquarters in Washington and will serve as a regional centre for Asia and the Pacific.
