Malaysia’s High Commissioner to Singapore, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, met with Permanent Secretary (Policy), Mr. Luke Goh, on 26 August 2026 as part of an introductory call. The meeting provided an opportunity for both sides to exchange views on Malaysia-Singapore relations and reaffirm their commitment to maintaining close bilateral ties.

During the meeting, discussions included the structure and roles of the Ministry’s senior leadership, providing an overview of its responsibilities and priorities. Both sides also highlighted the importance of the warm and close relationship between the leaders of Malaysia and Singapore in translating strong bilateral ties into tangible cooperation.

The meeting underscored the significance of continued engagement between the two countries in supporting shared priorities and strengthening cooperation across areas of mutual interest. The longstanding relationship between Malaysia and Singapore remains underpinned by close people-to-people connections, economic links and regular high-level engagement.

Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to provide support and assistance in further strengthening the close partnership between Malaysia and Singapore. They also expressed their shared commitment to advancing common interests and building on the strong foundation of bilateral relations.
