New helpline provides SMEs with confidential guidance and support following cyber incidents.
Singapore launched the Cyber Incident Helpline (CIH) at Singapore International Cyber Week 2026 to help businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), respond to cyber incidents. The launch was officiated by Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State at the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI), and introduced a dedicated point of contact for businesses seeking timely guidance following a cyber incident.

The helpline was established to address the operational risks businesses face as they increasingly adopt digital technologies. In the immediate aftermath of a cyber incident, knowing how to respond can be critical. The CIH provides businesses with a trusted and confidential channel to obtain initial assistance, understand their situation and determine appropriate next steps.
Through incident triage, containment guidance and practical advice, the service helps businesses navigate the early stages of their response. It also connects affected businesses with relevant specialist support when required. This approach is intended to help organisations manage the initial stages of a cyber incident with greater clarity and confidence.
The CIH operates as part of the broader Cyber Resilience Centre, an initiative developed through a partnership involving the Singapore Business Federation (SBF), the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA), SGTech and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCCI).
The partnership brings together government agencies and industry organisations to improve businesses’ access to cyber support and help them prepare for evolving cyber threats. By providing an initial point of contact and guidance on immediate response measures, the helpline aims to make assistance more accessible, particularly for SMEs that may need help identifying appropriate responses to cyber incidents.
The launch at Singapore International Cyber Week 2026 highlighted the role of accessible incident-response support in helping businesses manage cybersecurity risks. The initiative also provides a channel through which affected organisations can seek guidance and, where necessary, access more specialised assistance.
Through the Cyber Incident Helpline and the wider Cyber Resilience Centre, Singapore’s government and industry partners seek to help businesses improve their readiness for cyber incidents and respond more effectively when such situations arise.
