Asyad Group will host the Muscat Maritime Resilience Forum 2026 in Muscat, Oman, on 27–28 October, in partnership with Oman’s Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, and Oman Investment Authority. The forum will bring together Omani and international maritime leaders, business executives, academics and industry experts to explore practical approaches to strengthening maritime networks and maintaining the flow of global trade.

Discussions will cover the role of shipping, ports, logistics, technology, insurance and related markets in maintaining supply chain continuity. Private sector leaders will guide sessions drawing on operational and commercial challenges to develop practical approaches to maritime resilience and identify next steps for industry cooperation.

Eng. Abdulrahman Al Hatmi, Group Chief Executive Officer of Asyad Group, highlighted the importance of maintaining reliable maritime connections amid changing global conditions.

“Global trade is only as resilient as the maritime networks that sustain it,” he said. He added that the forum would bring industry leaders and experts to Muscat to address shared challenges and contribute to a maritime system better prepared for the future.

Mr Al Hatmi also emphasised that maritime resilience required continued cooperation across the industry, noting that Asyad Group would contribute its commercial and operational expertise to the discussions.

The forum reflects Oman’s approach to economic diplomacy through international engagement and platforms for dialogue on issues affecting the global economy. Oman’s strategic position along international maritime trade routes, supported by its ports, infrastructure, maritime services and logistics capabilities, provides links between regional and global markets.

Through the forum, participants will consider planned mechanisms under the proposed Muscat Maritime Resilience Framework. Insights and recommendations from the discussions will inform the framework’s development, with the aim of supporting stronger maritime networks and deeper international cooperation.
