Thai representatives explore regional technology initiatives and digital innovations at Singapore’s annual technology exhibition.
Mrs. Chonlatee Chanrachakul, Minister and Deputy Head of Mission of the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, attended the opening ceremony of the Singapore Week of Innovation & Technology (SWITCH) 2026 on 27 October 2026 at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore. The event provided an opportunity for Thailand to showcase its digital technology capabilities, engage with regional innovation initiatives and promote international business partnerships.
Running from 26 to 31 October 2026, SWITCH 2026 was an international technology and innovation exhibition featuring developments and solutions from various industry participants. The opening ceremony was officiated by Mr. Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Energy, Trade and Industry (Trade) of Singapore.

Following the opening ceremony, Mrs. Chonlatee, accompanied by ambassadors from other ASEAN Member States, visited the “Launchpad to Southeast Asia Pavilion”, organised by Enterprise Singapore. The pavilion provided an opportunity for participating representatives to explore initiatives supporting access to Southeast Asia’s technology and innovation ecosystem.
Mrs. Chonlatee subsequently visited the Thailand Pavilion, where she viewed technological solutions and innovations presented by 16 Thai digital entrepreneurs and startups. The pavilion was organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce of Thailand.

During the visit, she was welcomed by Mrs. Natama Koonpol, Director of the Thai Trade Center (TTC) in Singapore, who represented the organising institution. The visit highlighted Thailand’s participation in the exhibition and its engagement with the international technology community.
Thailand’s participation in SWITCH 2026 was aligned with the DITP’s strategic policy to enhance the global competitiveness of the country’s digital technology industry. The initiative focused on promoting future-ready technologies with growing demand in international markets, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Through the participation of 16 Thai digital entrepreneurs and startups, the Thailand Pavilion provided a platform to present locally developed technological solutions to international audiences. The initiative also aimed to facilitate international business partnerships and expand opportunities for Thai technology companies in overseas markets.
Thailand’s presence at SWITCH 2026 reflected its continued efforts to promote digital innovation, support the international development of its technology industry and position Thai businesses within the global innovation landscape.
