Cleantech startup Thermalytica Inc. triumphed at SLINGSHOT 2023 in Singapore, unveiling innovative solutions for energy-efficient household appliances and sustainable construction practices. The event, organized by Enterprise Singapore, showcased cutting-edge technologies poised to revolutionize various industries. Bering Lab Inc. secured the first runner-up position, offering AI-powered translation tools for legal and patent sectors, while Kinexcs Private Limited, specializing in AI-driven digital health and wearables, claimed the second runner-up spot. This year’s SLINGSHOT attracted an impressive 4,700 applications from 150 global markets, with a notable surge in submissions from Southeast Asia.
The top 50 startups, selected by a panel of over 350 international judges, underwent an intensive immersion program in Singapore, culminating in a final pitching round. Beyond the competition, SLINGSHOT provided invaluable networking opportunities, facilitating connections between startups and a diverse pool of investors, accelerators, and industry leaders. The event also saw Haleon, a leading consumer health company, awarding startup QuantActions a S$10,000 co-innovation prize for their digital health platform. As SLINGSHOT winners, they explore avenues to empower cognitive health among aging populations.
With over S$1.2 million in grants and non-cash prizes distributed, SLINGSHOT 2023 continues to catalyze innovation and drive growth in the global startup ecosystem. The top three winners receive substantial support, including rent-free space and an Entrepass to establish their presence in Singapore, showcasing the city-state’s commitment to nurturing groundbreaking startups.
