Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel showcases Gujarat’s development model at the Investment Conclave organized by the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries
Gandhinagar, 01 December 2023: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel spearheaded Gujarat’s delegation during a visit to Singapore, where he addressed the Investment Conclave organized by the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries. The Chief Minister presented Gujarat as a role model state for development, highlighting its contributions to India’s rapid progress under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
During his speech, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel underscored the flourishing India-Singapore relations, describing them as strategic natural partners. He emphasized the collaborative trade relations between India, Gujarat, and Singapore, noting the strengthened industrial ties.
Singapore, a global hub for financial activities, was compared to Gujarat, which has emerged as a significant global business center for financial activities, particularly through the success of the GIFT City project initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chief Minister invited Singaporean entrepreneurs to participate in the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, which will focus on attracting investments in emerging sectors such as semiconductors, green hydrogen, e-mobility, renewable energy, and FinTech.
Gujarat’s dedication to contributing to India’s ambitious goal of becoming the third-largest economy globally was highlighted, with the Chief Minister expressing confidence in Gujarat’s potential for development, particularly in the GIFT City and Greenfield Industrial Investment Region Dholera SIR.
Chief Secretary Shri Raj Kumar emphasized Gujarat’s appeal for investment, citing its investment potential, good governance, and ease of doing business. He portrayed the Vibrant Summit as a global platform for knowledge-sharing that originated in 2003 under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The Chairman of the Singapore Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Shri Neil Parekh, outlined the role of the conclave at the beginning of the event. Leading Indian industrialists, invitees, and dignitaries residing in Singapore actively participated in the conclave.
