CATWALK 2024, a global event organized by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, marked a significant step in raising awareness for Big Cat conservation, bringing people together for a memorable and impactful experience.

CATWALK, an annual global event designed to raise awareness about the challenges faced by the 7 Big Cats and their impact on collective wellbeing, took place on February 10, 2024. The event gained special significance this year as it coincided with the historic declaration by the United Nations, establishing February 10 as the first-ever International Day of the Arabian Leopard.

Organized by the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Singapore, CATWALK 2024 was held on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 9 am to 12 noon at the picturesque Marina Barrage Water Playground, 8 Marina Gardens Drive, Singapore. The event brought together participants from diverse backgrounds to engage in a 3-kilometer walk around the iconic Marina Bay Area, symbolizing a united front in the global efforts for Big Cat conservation.

Children were warmly welcomed to participate in the event, where they enjoyed fun and exciting activities tailored for them. Each participant received goodie bags, and light refreshments were provided to make the experience enjoyable for everyone involved.

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia expressed gratitude to all attendees for their support and contributions to the success of CATWALK 2024. The event served as a powerful platform to shed light on the critical status of the Arabian Leopard, a subspecies facing the threat of extinction. It also called for collective action to address the challenges faced by all Big Cats around the world, emphasizing the need for global cooperation in their conservation.

As participants strolled through the Marina Bay Area, the event fostered a sense of community engagement and shared responsibility for the preservation of these majestic creatures. CATWALK 2024 served not only as a walk for a cause but also as an opportunity for individuals to join hands in advocating for the protection of Big Cats and promoting global awareness.

The Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia extended an invitation to all attendees and the broader community to continue supporting such initiatives and work together towards a sustainable future for Big Cats.
