Over 400 senior officials and industry leaders from around the globe discuss the future of aviation, focusing on recovery, growth, and sustainability at the second Changi Aviation Summit.
The second edition of the Changi Aviation Summit, held at Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre on 19 February 2024, brought together more than 400 senior government officials and industry leaders from over 70 countries. Jointly organized by the Ministry of Transport (MOT) and Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), in partnership with Changi Airport Group, Experia Events, and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the summit aimed to explore the future of aviation in a post-pandemic world. The event, which commenced with a welcome dinner on 18 February, featured opening addresses by Singapore’s Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Finance, Mr. Chee Hong Tat, and keynote addresses by high-profile figures including Mr. Salvatore Sciacchitano, President of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), and Mr. Willie Walsh, Director General of IATA.
Themed “The Future of Aviation: Navigating a Post-Pandemic World,” the summit highlighted the industry’s pivot from recovery to growth, with discussions centered on overcoming challenges and harnessing cooperation.
