H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh honours 70 labour volunteers for their vital role in supporting Thai workers in Singapore.
ON 3rd March 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Singapore, presided over the closing ceremony of the training of labour volunteers for the year 2024. The event was organised by the Office of Labour Affairs at the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore. During the ceremony, Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh presented awards and training certificates to around 70 labour volunteers who participated in the training.
Ambassador Ureerat Chareontoh highlighted the vital role of the volunteers in providing extensive care and assistance to all Thai workers in Singapore. She expressed her gratitude for their diligent work, particularly their support towards the Embassy’s past and upcoming activities such as the Songkran Festival, the Thai constitutional referendum, and activities to commemorate the 72nd birthday anniversary of His Majesty the King.
The training programme also included sessions on Singapore’s labour laws and consular services provided by the Embassy, as well as a new initiative on transferring/certifying work experience gained in Singapore.
