THE United States Air Force (USAF) Band of the Pacific Asia, known as “Pacific Trends,” is a dynamic seven-member group that specializes in a diverse range of musical genres, from rock and pop to country music. During their recent visit to Singapore, the band had the opportunity to engage with the local community through various musical activities.
One of the highlights of their visit was a performance and interaction session with students from the Institute of Technical Education music and band clubs on 13th March 2024. This session provided an excellent opportunity for the students to learn from and be inspired by the talented musicians of Pacific Trends.
Additionally, the band conducted a music improvisation workshop with young musicians from the Singapore National Youth Orchestra, further enriching the musical landscape of the local youth.
The band’s visit to Singapore culminated in a public showcase at Gardens by the Bay, where they treated the audience to a dynamic repertoire of songs, including Lunar New Year tunes, showcasing the cultural diversity and musical talent of the USAF Band of the Pacific Asia.
In addition to their performance at Gardens by the Bay, Pacific Trends also participated in the Singapore Airshow, further enhancing the cultural exchange between the United States and Singapore through the universal language of music.
