Minister Peters meets with Singaporean officials to strengthen bilateral ties and discuss regional challenges
NEW Zealand’s Foreign Minister, Winston Peters, visited Singapore on Friday, 15th March 2024, as part of his tour of South and Southeast Asia. During his visit, Minister Peters met with Singapore’s Defence Minister, Dr Ng Eng Hen, and Second Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Maliki Osman, to discuss regional and global challenges and to reaffirm the close bilateral relationship between the two countries.
Singapore is New Zealand’s most important defense partner in the region and its fourth-largest trading partner. Minister Peters highlighted the significant opportunities for further development of an even stronger and more ambitious relationship between the two countries.
