Singapore Institute of Technology marks its 10th Anniversary with a gala dinner, reflecting on its growth and outlining its role in the future of Singapore’s education and innovation.
In a heartfelt speech at the Singapore Institute of Technology’s (SIT) 10th Anniversary Gala Dinner on 20th March 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Lawrence Wong, commended the institution’s significant contributions to Singapore’s educational landscape. Celebrated at the event were key figures from SIT’s leadership, government officials, and partners who have been instrumental in SIT’s journey since its inception as an autonomous university a decade ago.
Tracing SIT’s origins to initiatives aimed at enhancing polytechnic education in Singapore, Wong highlighted the government’s long-term vision in nurturing talent and innovation among Singaporeans. The establishment of SIT was a strategic move to offer more diverse and applied learning pathways, catering to the varied talents and aspirations of young Singaporeans.
