In a significant diplomatic engagement on March 27, 2024, Minister Liu Jianchao of the International Department of the Communist Party of China made an official visit to Singapore, where he met with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong. The dinner was an opportunity to reaffirm the excellent state of bilateral relations and discuss avenues for deeper and broader cooperation. Amidst the complex global challenges, both ministers were optimistic about continuing the positive momentum of bilateral collaboration to unlock new growth opportunities for both countries and the wider region.
The discussions extended to ASEAN-China relations and other regional and international developments, highlighting the importance of building an open, peaceful, and inclusive region.
