Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau debuts at ADEX Ocean Festival, aims to attract tourists with Sri Lanka’s captivating dive sites.
The Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB) made its debut appearance at the ADEX Ocean Festival held from April 12th to 14th 2024, with support from the High Commission of Sri Lanka in Singapore. SLTPB aimed to showcase Sri Lanka’s diving treasures to festival attendees with the initiative to attract both novice and thrill-seeking divers to explore Sri Lanka’s rich underwater ecosystems.
At the festival, SLTPB’s booth highlighted the mesmerising dive sites located along Sri Lanka’s South Coast and East Coast. During the three-day event, numerous visitors flocked to the SLTPB booth, eager to gain first-hand insights into Sri Lanka’s diverse dive offerings.
The opening ceremony held on April 12th 2024 was attended by the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Singapore, accompanied by embassy officials. They commended SLTPB’s efforts in introducing new tourism products to lure foreign visitors, marking a significant step in bilateral tourism promotion efforts.
According to the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, the first quarter of 2024 saw a significant spike in Singaporean tourist arrivals, with 2,800 visitors recorded between January and March, an impressive 84% rise over the same period in 2023.
