H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, inaugurates Thai Labour Day 2024, emphasizing collaboration between Thai and Singaporean agencies to support Thai workers.
On May 1st, 2024, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Republic of Singapore, presided over the opening ceremony of Thai Labour Day 2024. The event, jointly organized by the Royal Thai Embassy in Singapore, the Office of Labour Affairs, and the Assurance, Care and Engagement (ACE) Group under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), took place at Sembawang Recreation Centre.
During her opening remarks, Ambassador Chareontoh expressed sincere appreciation to the involved Thai and Singaporean agencies for their contributions to the event, which attracted over 1,000 participants. The event aimed to provide a platform for Thai workers to gather, and receive valuable information, and guidance from relevant agencies to enhance their living conditions.
Furthermore, attendees were invited to sign a well-wishes book for His Majesty the King on his auspicious 72nd Birthday Anniversary. Following the opening remarks, the Ambassador presented certificates of gratitude to the event’s sponsors and distributed food boxes to Thai workers at the Embassy’s booth, where consular guidance and assistance were provided by the Embassy’s staff.
