During the 7th Leaders’ Retreat between Indonesia and Singapore, a bilateral meeting was held with PM Lee accompanied by Deputy PM Lawrence Wong and several relevant ministers. This meeting served as a platform for the exchange of several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two nations.
Among the agreements reached were collaborations in political and defense fields, as well as economic and investment sectors, including support for the development of Solar Power Plants (PLTS) in the Nusantara Capital (IKN). Additionally, both countries agreed to cooperate in food security, such as technology transfer and the development of three halal industrial zones in Bintan, Serang, and Sidoarjo.
In the realm of social and cultural affairs, the focus of cooperation was on strengthening health transformation through the construction of hospitals and clinics, capacity building for medical personnel, and healthcare digitization. Furthermore, the development of a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for Health in Bali was also part of the collaboration agenda.
