Sun Media Singapore Editor-in-Chief calls on the newly appointed Thai Ambassador to Singapore to welcome her to Singapore.

SINGAPORE, 14 May 2024 – On the eve of Singapore’s new Prime Minister’s swearing-in ceremony, the newly appointed Thai Ambassador to Singapore, H.E. Ms. Ureerat Chareontoh, expressed her optimism about the future of bilateral ties between the two nations. In a meeting with Sun Media Singapore Editor-in-Chief, Ms. Nomita Dhar, the Ambassador conveyed her confidence in the new teams on both sides, saying, “I have no doubt that our new leaders will work tirelessly to drive growth and prosperity in our nations and the region.”

She highlighted the strong foundation of Thailand-Singapore relations, built on shared cultural and economic interests, and expressed her enthusiasm to further enhance cooperation in areas such as:

The Ambassador emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration, saying, “Our nations share a common vision for a peaceful and prosperous ASEAN community. I look forward to working closely with the new Singapore government to achieve this goal.”
