Co-chaired by Lao PDR and Malaysia, the High-Level Task Force on ASEAN Community Vision 2025 held a Plenary session on August 3, 2024, to discuss the APSC Strategic Plan and future steps.
The 16th Meeting of the High-Level Task Force on ASEAN Community Vision 2025 (HLTF-ACV) continued with a Plenary session on August 3, 2024, in Melaka, Malaysia. Co-chaired by representatives from Lao PDR and Malaysia, Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz attended the session, the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for the ASEAN Political-Security Community, on behalf of the Secretary-General of ASEAN.
During the plenary session, the HLTF-ACV completed the second reading of the draft of the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Strategic Plan and discussed the next steps. The meeting also involved an exchange of views and updates on the progress of work with the Chairs of the High-Level Task Force on ASEAN Economic Integration (HLTF-EI), the ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee (ACCC), and the Co-Chairs of the Ad Hoc Working Group on the Development of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Post-2025 Strategic Plan.
In keeping with its comprehensive, participatory, and inclusive approach, the HLTF-ACV continues to engage with various stakeholders. At its 16th Meeting, the HLTF-ACV had an interface with the ASEAN Mayors Forum and the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia, furthering its commitment to inclusive dialogue and collaboration.
