Singapore, 29 August 2024 – Her Excellency Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of Thailand to Singapore, delivered the opening remarks at the breakout session dedicated to Thailand during the ASEAN Conference 2024, held under the theme “Reimagining ASEAN for a Sustainable Tomorrow.” The conference gathered key decision-makers from across the ASEAN region.
In her address, Ambassador Ureerat underscored the critical need to incorporate digital economy practices and sustainability into business strategies. She stressed that doing so would not only strengthen businesses’ market positions but also ensure their long-term success while contributing positively to global sustainability efforts.
Thailand, recognized as a top investment destination, continues to fuel economic growth by promoting digital economy initiatives and sustainability policies. The country’s commitment to joining the Digital Economy Partnership Agreement (DEPA) and its focus on the Bio-Circular-Green (BCG) Economy Model are clear indicators of Thailand’s dedication to a sustainable and forward-looking future.
