The third edition of the Global AI Summit (GAIN) will convene AI leaders and specialists in Riyadh from September 10-12, 2024, to explore the latest advancements and ethical considerations in AI technology.

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 21 August 2024 – The Global AI Summit (GAIN) 2024 is set to gather leading AI experts and decision-makers from around the world for its third edition, scheduled from September 10-12, 2024, at the King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center in Riyadh. Hosted by the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), this year’s summit will focus on critical themes such as Generative AI, AI in urban development, and the ethical governance of AI.

The summit will feature more than 300 speakers from over 100 countries, including top executives from Silicon Valley, influential policymakers, and renowned AI researchers. These experts will engage in high-profile sessions and workshops that aim to advance AI discussions and foster international collaboration on AI initiatives. Notable sessions will include a debate on the future of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), panel discussions on AI-powered precision medicine, and workshops on AI’s role in sustainable development and smart cities.

Prominent figures leading the discussions include Professor Simon See, Global Head at Nvidia AI Technology Centre; Antony Cook, Deputy General Counsel at Microsoft; and Caroline Yap, Global Managing Director at Google Cloud. They will address key issues such as AI governance, the ethical implications of AI, and the role of international cooperation in maximizing AI’s potential. Additionally, the summit will explore the impact of the Islamic World AI Charter and frameworks for ethical AI.

The event is being organized under the patronage of His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SDAIA. Major industry players like Accenture, Oracle, Dell Technologies, Siemens, Boston Dynamics, and Google Cloud will participate, highlighting the summit’s significance as a global platform for AI innovation.
