Singapore, 21 October 2024 – Hon’ble Union Minister for Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, met with members of the Indian diaspora in Singapore today, emphasising the role of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in preparing India’s youth for the global job market. The engagement took place during his visit to Singapore, where he highlighted key initiatives aimed at transforming India’s education system and empowering its workforce.
During the meeting, Shri Pradhan spoke about India’s ambitious goal of becoming a $5 trillion economy and achieving Net Zero emissions by 2070. He noted the importance of India’s vast education network and the NEP’s focus on upskilling the youth to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving global economy.
