Immersive rainforest experiences, adventure activities, and conservation awareness take centre stage at Singapore’s newest wildlife park

Singapore’s newest zoological park, Rainforest Wild Asia, will officially open its doors to the public on 12 March 2025. Located within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve, the park offers visitors a multi-layered rainforest experience, featuring immersive habitats, adventure trails, and a focus on Southeast Asia’s rich biodiversity. A preview programme commenced today, welcoming select groups, including Friends of Wildlife members, educators, and beneficiary organisations, ahead of the official launch. Ticket sales for the park begin today.

Mike Barclay, Group CEO of Mandai Wildlife Group, highlighted three key aspects of Rainforest Wild Asia: “First, we are showcasing highly immersive and flexible habitats featuring Southeast Asian species. Many of these species face threats due to habitat loss and pollution, and we aim to raise awareness about their conservation. Second, we offer visitors the chance to experience the rainforest from multiple perspectives—above in the tree canopy, on the forest floor, and even underground in cave chambers inspired by Sarawak’s Mulu Caves. Lastly, we provide tailored adventure options, from guided treks and adrenaline-filled experiences to elevated walkways designed for visitors with diverse mobility needs.”

AIA Singapore is a key partner in the park’s development, sponsoring the Malayan tapir habitat and the AIA Vitality Bounce, a high-element net playground. “Through this initiative, we hope to create a space where people can disconnect from the digital world, reconnect with nature, and be inspired to protect wildlife,” said Ms Wong Sze Keed, CEO of AIA Singapore.

Visitors can explore diverse habitats, engage in Ranger Talks across key zones, and participate in thrilling adventure activities such as the Canopy Jump and Wild Apex Adventure. Rainforest Wild Asia also offers unique dining experiences, including Singapore’s first cave-themed restaurant, operated by the Tung Lok Group.

From 12 March 2025, the park will be open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, with the last admission at 5 pm. Tickets are available at http://rainforestwildasia.sg, with promotional rates for local residents until 31 March 2025.

The park’s second phase, Rainforest Wild Africa, is set to open in the near future, further expanding Singapore’s latest zoological attraction.
