Breaking Barriers Through Art and Inclusivity at Singapore Art Museum

SINGAPORE – The Singapore Art Museum (SAM) will host its inaugural Access Showcase 2025 from 27 to 30 March at 39 Tanjong Pagar Distripark, spanning The Engine Room and The Main Deck. This free-to-attend event, with select programmes requiring registration, is designed to celebrate diversity and inclusivity, using art as a universal language of care and empowerment.

Organised by the SAM Access team, the showcase is centred around the theme ‘common languages’, highlighting the ways art fosters communication, connection, and participation across all abilities. Over four days, visitors can engage in thought-provoking talks, interactive workshops, immersive performances, and a hands-on hackathon, each offering new perspectives on accessibility in the arts.

The event aims to create an inclusive space where art transcends social and physical barriers, enabling deeper understanding and shared experiences among people from diverse backgrounds. By embracing art as a means of communication, SAM hopes to inspire more inclusive conversations within the creative and cultural landscape.
