Prince Faisal bin Farhan joins OIC Foreign Ministers in Jeddah to discuss unity, regional stability, and the Palestinian cause.

Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, participated in the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Jeddah. The meeting was convened at the request of Islamic nations to discuss pressing regional issues, particularly the Palestinian cause and the situation in Syria.

The ministers focused on strengthening unity within the Islamic world and intensifying efforts to end the Israeli occupation and aggression in the Palestinian territories and Syria. The discussions also addressed security violations that threaten regional stability.

Prince Faisal stressed the importance of enforcing a ceasefire in Gaza and urged Israel to comply with international law. He firmly rejected any attempts to displace the Palestinian people or impose solutions that do not align with their right to self-determination. The minister warned of the serious repercussions such actions could have on the region and beyond. He also highlighted Saudi Arabia’s engagement in the Global Alliance for Implementation of the Two-State Solution, working alongside international partners.

Additionally, Prince Faisal welcomed Syria’s return to the OIC, expressing optimism that Syria would play an active role in strengthening the organization’s efforts.

The meeting reaffirmed the OIC’s commitment to regional peace, security, and the rights of the Palestinian people, while also strengthening cooperation among member states.
