HE Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe accepted an invitation to join the Women Economic Forum ASEAN 2025 in Malaysia as a speaker and award recipient
On 4 April 2024, the South African High Commissioner to Singapore, HE Madiepetsane Charlotte Lobe, met with Dr Meenakshi Arora Dabral, Managing Director of Mandala Global Group and Global Chair of G100 Global Alliances and Alumni Networks. The meeting took place in Singapore and served as a follow-up to a previous virtual discussion held with the leadership of G100 and organisers of the Women Economic Forum (WEF) ASEAN 2025.
During the meeting, Dr Dabral personally extended an invitation to the High Commissioner to participate in WEF ASEAN 2025 as a speaker and to receive a WEF Award in recognition of her contributions to women’s empowerment. The High Commissioner had officially accepted the nomination during the earlier virtual meeting.
The Women Economic Forum provides an inclusive platform to empower women across sectors through dialogue, collaboration, and leadership. WEF ASEAN 2025 will take place from 19 to 21 June 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It will align closely with Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairship under the theme “Inclusivity and Sustainability.”
Held under the theme “Women Leaders Beyond Borders: Shaping the Future of the ASEAN Sheconomy,” the forum will bring together influential women leaders to promote cross-border collaboration, innovation, and sustainable development. It aims to spotlight women’s leadership in shaping regional economic progress.
The South African High Commission in Singapore extended its best wishes to the organisers of WEF ASEAN 2025 and expressed its support for the forum’s goals of inclusion and empowerment.
